Mackenzie is the Global Startup Evangelist at AWS. His days are spent traveling the globe to meet startups, share their stories, and connect engineering teams together. Every day there are a large number of startups launching on AWS across every imaginable industry. It’s Mackenzie’s mission to find stories of startups that are helping to improve the world and share these stories with a wide audience.
The Women of the Cloud College Tour is dedicated to empowering women by fostering skill development, advancing careers, and highlighting their contributions in the tech industry. Through networking opportunities and mentorship, we aim to support the next generation of women executives while promoting diversity and inclusion in business, particularly for those historically marginalized in society.
Join local students, industry peers, cloud partners and Amazonians for a half-day of interactive content and networking. Hosted at the University of Pittsburgh campus, this event will feature a keynote session, an interactive, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) session, and panel-style presentation, followed by a network event, and so much more.

Rebecca is an experienced, mission-driven healthcare technology executive committed to helping health plans unlock the value of holistic data while maximizing providers’ health IT investments so that they can focus on what they do best – caring for patients. Under Rebecca’s leadership, the enterprise team drives collaboration with health plans, providers, and health information technology leaders striving to improve meaningful health information exchange. Before joining the world of healthcare technology, Rebecca led marketing and product development for international software and consumer product companies. She is an alumna of Washington University in St. Louis and lives in Pittsburgh.
Mary Beth brings extensive experience igniting innovation, mentoring Inventors and Entrepreneurs and building strategic connections that drive economic development and strong ROI. She guides teams through idea development, commercialization and launch optimization. Robust networks of R&D experts, potential partners, investors and startups help foster beneficial opportunities and new innovation channels. Mary Beth earned a BA in Economics, University of Illinois, a Master’s in Public and International Affairs from University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
With over 25 years of experience in the technology sector, Cristen has specialized in big data, analytics, AI/ML, containers, and modernization solutions. Cristen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Psychology from Penn State University. She spent 3 years at Price Waterhouse and 20 years at SAP, where she led a global team focused on data architecture, value engineering, cloud customer success, and AI/ML. During her 4 years at AWS, Cristen has overseen multiple
Specialist Solutions Architecture teams, addressing strategic challenges for customers across Enterprise, Gaming, ISV, Digitally Native Business, Startups, and Global Industries.
Ms. Skinner, a veteran nursing leader, has more than two decades of experience in clinical and organizational strategy leadership. She has a strong track record in multi-network healthcare transformation, outreach and business development, patient journey optimization, bed management, patient flow and trauma certification preparation. Before joining TeleTracking in 2019, she co-founded The Eleva Group, consulting with health systems on care integration, strategy development and deployment, and operational excellence. Additionally, she held multiple leadership positions at HCA Healthcare. Ms. Skinner holds a BSN from Beth-El College of Nursing and an MBA from Regis University, and resides in Bozeman, Montana.
Caitlyn is a seasoned global business leader with over 25 years of experience in marketing, product development, and supply chain in the audio/video industry. She ran a public company, leading teams across China, Taiwan, and the US to bring products to market for major brands.
After retiring from the electronics field, Caitlyn founded curaJOY, a nonprofit addressing healthcare equity and education through innovative behavioral healthcare and social-emotional learning solutions. Leveraging AI, behavioral health, education, and gaming, she creates digital programs co-created with diverse communities, including mothers, refugees, immigrants, and retirees. Her mission is to provide training opportunities and support for families facing challenges like autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression.
Dr. Woodward directs the Office of Sponsored Programs, which is charged with assisting faculty, staff, and students in their efforts to promote and secure sponsored research funding. Woodward is Professor of Surgery and Immunology and has served as Associate Vice Provost for Research Operations at Pitt, Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs in the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and Executive Director for Research and Academic Affairs at the Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute. Woodward earned a B.Sc. degree in biology from Presbyterian College, a Master of Science degree in biology from UNC Charlotte, and a PhD in microbiology and immunology from the Medical University of South Carolina.
